Mr. Yashwant Narayan Thakare, Director General

Shri Yashwant Narayan Thakare belonging to the 1990 batch of the Indian Audit & Accounts Service took charge as Director General of the Academy on 31st August, 2016. He is a Commerce graduate from Sydenham College of Commerce & Economics, Mumbai and a post-graduate in Economics from Mumbai University. Before joining the Academy, Shri Thakare was the Principal Accountant General (E&RSA), Gujarat at Ahmedabad. His earlier postings in the Indian Audit & Accounts Department have been to the field offices at Mumbai, Bhubaneswar, Pune, Rajkot, Goa, Delhi and Hyderabad. He has also been on deputation to Government Audit Office of Mauritius.

 


Ms. Sudha Rajan, Director

An IA&AS officer of the 2002 batch, Ms.Sudha Rajan holds a Masters degree in English Literature from the University of Hyderabad, as also a degree in Journalism & Mass Communication from Osmania University.

In the Department she has worked in various capacities, handling audit of Railways, the steel sector and Post & Telecommunications, among others. Prior to joining NAAA she was posted as Assistant CAG (Personnel), O/o the Comptroller & Auditor General of India, where she was responsible for cadre control of the IA&AS. She has also held the charge of Director (Public Accounts Committee) at CAG’s office. During her tenure as Director, Delhi Branch, O/ the Director General of Audit (Post & Telecommunications) Ms.Rajan was closely involved in the audit and finalization of the report on Issue of Licences and Allocation of 2G Spectrum.


Mr. Ramavatar Sharma, Director

Mr. Ramawatar Sharma is an IA&AS officer of the 2003 batch. He joined the Academy as Director on 4 July 2016. He holds Bachelor degree in Science, Bachelor degree in Law and Master in Public Administration. He has done Certification in Risk Based Financial Audit by IDI and he is a Certified ISSAI Facilitator for Financial Audit.

Before his joining the National Academy of Audit & Accounts, he has worked in various capacities, as Assistant Commissioner of Delhi Police, Assistant Accountant General (AG, Rajasthan), Dy. Accountant General, (AG, (Audit) Nagaland) and Director of Audit (P&T), Delhi. He has experience in Audit of private Sector Telecom Companies for their Revenue sharing with Government.


Mr. Kartikaye Mathur, Director

Mr Kartikaye Mathur is an IAAS officer of 2004 batch. He joined Academy as a Director on 4th January 2017. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee. He is a Certified Information Systems Auditor and a Certified ISSA facilitator for Compliance Audit.

Before joining the Academy, he has worked as DAG (Works and Receipt Audit) in Jammu & Kashmir looking after Works and Revenue Audit and also handling the Account functions including Pension. He has worked as DAG (Works Account) in Madhya Pradesh looking after compilation of Works Accounts including GPF.

He has worked as Director in the office of Principal Director of Audit Scientific Departments looking after Environment Audit. He was associated with All India Performance Audits on Compensatory Afforestation in India, Renewable Energy Sector in India, Environmental Clearance and Flood Controls.


Mr. Sachin Kapoor, Director

Mr. Sachin Kapoor is an IA&AS officer of the 2008 batch. He is a Commerce graduate from SCD Government College, Ludhiana and a Chartered Accountant. He joined Academy as Director on October 1st, 2016.

Before his joining the National Academy of Audit & Accounts, he has worked in various capacities, as Assistant Accountant General (PAG, Haryana), Dy. Accountant General, (AG, Allahabad) and Deputy Director of Audit (Defence), Delhi. He has experience in Government Accounting and Audit of Defence establishments.
